How it Started
Our family enjoys taking long road trips together to both urban locations and natural, remote places. We quickly learned that fresh linens and a comfortable bed made our trips more enjoyable, but the RVs we rented were built for parking and not for driving long distances.
Although there were comfortable beds, the vehicles had terrible gas mileage and limited views for everyone except the driver. They also were cumbersome to drive, didn't fit in most parking spaces, and screamed “tourist” as we traveled.
I had the idea to transform a minivan into an efficient campervan that could convert easily into a sleeping space while still allowing 2+ passengers to travel comfortably over long distances. I prioritized a comfortable bed while maximizing storage space, and included features that gave us enough privacy to sleep in cities or campgrounds without feeling like we were on display.
After testing and modifying my modular design personally and taking various long trips, I’ve refined the design to something that is truly unique, comfortable, and covert.
In 2014, Avanti (formerly AIYRE Pacific) was formed with only one minivan and has since grown to dozens of campervans across the country, all with our custom modular designs and camping kits included. We are family-owned and operated and plan to continue our growth to become the leader in the small campervan rental market in the US.
Sustainable Travel
Our campervans are 100% sustainable. We have been proud members of STI - Sustainable Travel International – and have bought carbon offsets for every mile driven in our vans since day one.
Covert
Our Camper Vans have no external fixtures or markings – no logo or artwork to indicate “a tourist sleeps here”. The cars are clean, new, and perfect for stealth camping.
